Virgin Bet has formed a Personal Safety Partnership with the personal safety app WalkSafe.
The pair have banded together to emphasise the significance of safety and security at racing events around the country, particularly for individuals travelling alone.
WalkSafe is a free app that allows users to plan safe routes home when walking alone, with features including Safety Map, HomeSafe, Follow Me, and WalkSafe journey sharing.
This relationship is part of Virgin Bet's 'A Good Bet,' which aims to break down pre-existing barriers and create positive change in sports and culture while also assisting racegoers in remaining safe.
This cooperation will be officially inaugurated during the Virgin Bet Ayr Gold Cup Festival in September, with WalkSafe Founder Emma Kay in attendance to speak, and will continue with all additional Virgin Bet-sponsored races throughout the 2024-25 racing calendar.
LiveScore Group CEO Sam Sadi stated, "At Virgin Bet, as part of our 'A Good Bet' brand proposition, we want to make sporting events a safe environment for women and men from start to finish, including travel to and from a venue from home." Working with the fantastic people at WalkSafe, this program accomplishes exactly that and is a first in the racing industry."
WalkSafe Founder Emma Kay stated, "We are thrilled to be collaborating with Virgin Bet to promote personal safety during sporting events. Partnerships like these bring to light people's safety issues, and the app delivers the technology, as well as the confidence and help they may require to get home safely.
