The Swedish Gaming Authority, Spelinspektionen, has prohibited MRSL NV from supplying games to Swedish players without a licence.
In a statement, the regulator stated, "We prioritise measures that contribute to gambling taking place with operators who have a Swedish gambling licence."
MRSL NV joins an increasing list of operators banned in Sweden for violating Swedish regulations, which includes Equinox Dynamic, Alpha Interactive Solutions, and Nero Media, among others.
The Swedish Gaming Authority also maintains a record of reversed ban rulings, which include firms like Rebels Gaming and Gammix Limited. Gammix Limited was fined about €19.7 million ($21.3 million) by the Danish Gaming Authority (KSA) in March for supplying unlawful gaming, which Gammix Limited Director Phil Pearson described as "an absolute joke" in response.
Last week, Spelinspektionen became an associate member of the United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS). Ms. Rosenberg, the authority's Director, stated, "By collaborating with ULIS, we are strengthening our ability to monitor and address issues related to competition manipulation in our country and across the board."
In other news from Europe, the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has revoked Tipbet's licence to operate in the country. As a result, Tipbet is no longer able to accept new players and must refund all monies owed to existing players in accordance with the Gaming Act (Chapter 583 of the Malta Laws), as well as allow the MGA to extract and copy necessary regulatory data in accordance with the Gaming Definitions Regulations (S.L. 583.04).
