Play'n Go has issued its first formal sustainability report, which highlights the company's sustainability strategy and success in 2023, as well as Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) targets for the rest of 2024.
Play'n Go provided safer gambling training to its staff throughout 2023, and has said that it hopes to maintain its GamCare Safer Gambling Gold Standard, with 90% of employees passing the training by 2024.
The casino entertainment company has had a busy spring, with contracts with BetMGM in Pennsylvania and NetBet in Denmark signed in the second half of April. Earlier this month, it struck another Pennsylvanian agreement with Rush Street Interactive and announced a collaboration with Betsson in Spain.
Vanessa Arenram, Director of CSR at Play'n Go, commented on the sustainability report, saying, "Play'n Go has long made its commitment to sustainability and ESG very clear, and the release of our first ever Sustainability Report is evidence of those words being put into action." We're excited to finally share this report today, since it celebrates our global team's devotion and progress.
"From our commitment to player safety and collaborating with regulators to influence the development of sustainable regulation, to our Climate Pledge and how we are investing in our people and partnerships, we mean it when we say that the only viable future is a sustainable one."
The report also outlines Play'n Go's aims for reducing scope 2 emissions by 80% year on year and improving scope 3 emissions data by 25%.
