Tornado Games has named Julia Weygandt as its COO. Weygandt has several years of experience in the global gambling industry.
She began working as an apprentice for the German land-based corporation, the Gauselmann Group, in 2005 before progressing to the position of Executive Assistant. She then went on to work for the Schmidt Gruppe before joining Gamomat in the online market, where she became Head of International Partnerships.
She was the Head of Business Development at Red Rhino before joining Tornado Games.
As COO, Weygandt's responsibilities include expanding the team, developing growth strategies and plans, evaluating and improving internal procedures, and steering the company into new territories in order to propel the studio from startup to rising star.
Thaluana Muscat, Tornado Games' Head of Sales, stated: "Julia adds a wealth of experience, passion, and vision to the team, and we are happy to have her on board. Tornado Games is the new kid on the block, but we have big aspirations to make our impact on the industry by creating games that players want to play."
